Banchor Mains Farmhouse

Domestic Biomass Installation

Reason for Switching to Biomass

Large farm house with very old in-efficient oil boiler, the boiler which was expensive to run and the house wasn't warm enough in the winter. Instead of changing like for like decided to look at different options, and chose Biomass pellets.

The Solution

Installed in 2012. A fully automatic 35kW wood pellet boiler to provide heating and hot water. Boiler and 5 tonne fuel store built in attached outhouse and buffer and controls in drying room in the house.

The Result

Fuel cost saving up to 30%.

RHI payments for 7 years , CO2 reduced.

Can now afford to have the house warm all year round and still save 30% on annual fuel bill.

An excellent job. We can now afford to have the house warm all year round and still save 30% on annual fuel bill.
