Installation of Commercial gas kitchen and Solar PV battery storage system
Highland Farm Cafe
Overlooking the Cromarty Firth and Dingwall is an idyllic spot for a sit down and catch up with friends in an eco friendly cafe. From beginning to completion of the project, R&I Cruden were responsible for the supply and installation of all plumbing and mechanical requirements. R&I Cruden designed the heating system with underfloor heating throughout and the solar PV system and battery storage. The large commercial kitchen was commissioned and now maintained by R&I Cruden.
R&I Cruden supplied and installed a 6kW solar PV system with battery storage was supplied and installed to allow the cafe to generate their own electricity and reduce future electricity costs. The solar PV system and air source heat pump provide the build with renewable energy solutions, a project requirement identified to continue with the owners eco friendly ethos. A new hot & cold water system was installed through building including all pipework and insulation, with R&I Cruden also responsible for the supply and installation of all sanitary appliances and drainage systems. To supply ventilation within the kitchen, R&I Cruden installed a new mechanical ventilation system including extract fans, external grilles and ductwork throughout. A new mains gas supply was installed to provide fuel for the kitchen as the electric supply was not big enough to use electric oven and grills. The commercial kitchen system was commissioned and now maintained by R&I Cruden.
The R&I Cruden team were fantastic with planning advice and installation, they were excellent when switching the mains gas and keeping downtime to a minimum. I can’t recommend them enough.
