Mark was looking for a way to reduce energy costs and transition to sustainable energy solutions. In the summer of 2022, we installed a comprehensive renewable energy system to meet Mark’s needs, consisting of solar panels, battery storage, an air source heat pump and an EV charger.

The air source heat pump replaced a 100L oil tank, significantly lowered heating costs, alongside carbon emissions.

The 10kWh battery charges overnight at a tariff of just 9p/kWh, allowing low-cost energy use throughout the day.

Surplus energy generated by the solar PV system is exported back to the grid, earning 15p per unit and saving £240 annually.

Mark’s system generates clean energy, reducing C02 emissions, and minimises dependency on the external energy supplies. The integration of the EV charger further supports a zero-emission lifestyle by powering his electric car sustainably.

“We got five quotes and RI Cruden stood out for their support and service. Since installation, we’ve been really happy. The system is efficient, and we even get paid for feeding back to the grid! I’ve had no hesitation in recommending RI Cruden to neighbours, and I know they’ve been equally satisfied”

RI Cruden’s installation ensures Mark’s home is future proofed with renewable technology, offering sustainable energy savings for years to come.

The System
