THE PROJECT:
High Range Lodge in Aviemore, located in the scenic Cairngorm National Park, faced rising electricity costs. To help with bringing down operational expenses, we installed a 90-panel, 36.9kWp solar PV system on the lodge’s roof.
We selected a Solis PV system for its high efficiency and reliability, ensuring maximum energy output for the lodge.
The solar PV system will produce 27.15MWh of clean energy each year, saving 5.25 tonnes of CO2 emissions – equal to planting 241 trees!
Our team ensured that the lodge remained fully operational throughout the installation. To accommodate guests and minimise disruption, we adjusted our work hours to start later in the day and used quieter tools wherever possible. This allowed the lodge to continue welcoming guests peacefully while we completed the installation.
This installation enables the High Range to generate clean, renewable energy on-site, significantly reducing both its carbon footprint and its reliance on external electricity sources, creating sustainable savings for the future.
