We’ve published our First Ever Sustainability Report!

Today, we’re excited to publish our inaugural Sustainability Report. It’s an honest, transparent look at exactly where we stand today, the progress we have already made, and a clear idea of where we’re headed – all in one report

As a business rooted in the Highlands, sustainability has always been part of how we operate. From our early days as biomass specialists to our current work on  Mechanical, Electrical, and Renewable projects all across the country, we’ve always tried to make conscious, practical decisions for our communities where possible. 

This new reporting helps highlight just that, and demonstrate how we operate as a business, focusing on delivering the best results for our clients and customers, while taking responsibility for the impact our own activity has on the environment. Using our 2025 carbon baseline of 357.66 tCO₂e as our starting point, we now have a clear picture of where we stand and the progress we need to make for the future. 

Looking back at the past year, we’re incredibly proud of what the team has already achieved on the ground. A few of our highlights include:

• Our Inverness HQ is now powered and heated by 132 solar panels, biomass, and air source heat pumps. Our on-site EV charging points are fed directly by our own solar power.
• 48% of our 2025 supplier spending was kept within five miles of our Inverness office, keeping investment right here in the local economy.
• We have hit 0% of our waste being sent to landfill.
• We repurposed old solar panels into outdoor table tennis tables for the team at New Start Highland, the first project of its kind in the region.

Whilst we reflect on what has passed and celebrate our progress so far, this report is fundamentally about looking forward. With clear, practical action points across key areas of our business, from fitting speed limiters across our full van fleet and increasing apprentice public transport use, to pushing our local procurement to 55% – we now have a roadmap to build on this year’s foundations.
