Highland Business of the Year RI Cruden Ltd promotes “Green Careers Week” with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW). RI Cruden was announced as Highland Business of the Year in September after judges described the company as inspiring due to their commitment to sustainability and in house training initiatives.
An Award-Winning Advocate for Sustainability

RI Cruden has consistently demonstrated its dedication to sustainable practices both for their own business and others by installing the latest renewable technologies to reduce carbon emissions. They also won the first ever ‘Supporting Net Zero Employer’ accolade at the 2023 Scottish Apprenticeship Awards in March for their outstanding achievements in training apprentices and graduates and investing in green technologies.
Given their impressive track record, the company’s decision to champion “Green Careers Week” underscores their commitment to a sustainable Scotland.
Empowering the Green Workforce of Tomorrow

“Green Careers Week,” which will run from 6th to 10th of November will focus on raising awareness about the diverse and exciting career opportunities available within green industries. It will also provide insights into the significant role Scotland plays in renewable energy, sustainable construction, environmental science, and related fields.
RI Cruden already collaborates with schools, colleges and universities, and vocational institutions across the Highlands and work closely with DYW to offer a range of educational and informational events.
This will be demonstrated at the Green Energy Careers Expo hosted by DYW on 27th February 2024 at Alness Academy where RI Cruden are co-sponsors.
A Brighter, Greener Future
“Green Careers Week” aligns with Scotland’s ambitious climate goals and its commitment to becoming a net-zero nation. By promoting green careers, RI Cruden hopes to contribute to a workforce that is passionate about and equipped for a sustainable future.
This initiative reinforces Ri Cruden’s reputation as a pioneer in sustainable business practices, and their dedication to empowering the next generation of professionals in the green sector. It also sets an inspiring example for companies across Scotland to prioritize environmental stewardship and invest in the future of the planet.
RI Cruden currently has two graduate positions available for Renewable Design Graduate and Mechanical & Electrical Estimator Graduate.
