At RI Cruden Ltd, apprenticeships have been at the heartbeat of our company since we were founded in 2005. They’re how we grow talent, build expertise, and uphold the values that drive us forward. That’s why we’re thrilled to have introduced our very own Apprentice of the Year award in December – a recognition of the outstanding contributions our apprentices make to the business and beyond.
We’re delighted to announce that our first winner is Joe Embelton, a 4th-year apprentice from our Mechanical team! Joe has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and teamwork, making a significant impact both on-site, in college and within the team.
Joe was presented with a £500 voucher and a trophy by our company founder, Ian Cruden – who began his own journey as an apprentice in 1971 before later launching RI Cruden in 2005. This moment not only celebrates Joe’s remarkable achievements but also highlights the legacy of apprenticeships at RI Cruden.

Congratulations, Joe – we are extremely proud of you and look forward to seeing all you will accomplish in the future!
Here’s to many more years of recognising and supporting exceptional talent within our team.
(And a special thanks to Inverness Trophy Centre for arranging our shiny new prizes!)
