The Project.
The £9.5m Life Sciences Innovation Centre on Inverness Campus is the result of a collaboration between Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). RI Cruden installation included a new high Temperature Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) located on the roof plant deck providing LTHW via radiant panels and underfloor heating. There is also 4 Air Handling units and 2 toilet extract fans supplying supply and extract ventilation to the building. External work also included the new water main and hydrants. A New Building Management Control system was integrated to allow greater control and energy efficiency. Multi split air condition units to specific rooms and laboratories. The ASHP also provides the domestic hot water supply to the building and there is 2 pumped cold water systems. Installation also included the Above ground drainage and plumbing. Specialist Lab equipment included Fume and Laminar flow cabinets and associated extract systems.
